Sinead is originally a graduate of Trinity College School of Physiotherapy in Dublin . She has worked in the Adelaide Hospital, Tallaght Hospital and within the NHS system in the UK.  When specialising, she completed the Masters programme in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland in Brisbane , Australia . This University is world renowned for the research it has produced in the field of physiotherapy. Following a variety of posts in hospital and private practice settings, she established Collins Avenue Physiotherapy Clinic in 2004. She has been an invited lecturer and clinical tutor at UCD for the Masters programme in Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy. She has also presented at professional conferences and has provided continuing professional development courses for chartered physiotherapists nationwide. Sinead has been Chairperson of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists subgroup representing physiotherapists in private practice for 3 years. She has recently been awarded Level 3 accreditation ( the highest level available) from the ISCP Sports Physiotherapy subgroup.  Clinically, she has worked with a wide range of clients including the Irish Boxing Team, the Dublin Senior Football and Hurling Team . Her special interests are in the management of spinal pain, whiplash associated disorders , sports injuries and osteoporosis .

Eimear is a graduate of UCD School of Physiotherapy . She has worked in St James’s Hospital, Our Lady’s Hospital of Sick Children, Crumlin and in Sydney where she gained invaluable experience in many areas of physiotherapy. She became a senior physiotherapist in 'Burns and Plastics' and 'Women’s Health and Continence' in St James’s Hospital, before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. She subsequently completed her Masters in Manual Therapy in the University of Western Australia, where she obtained a high distinction.

Eimear has a particular interest in Women’s Health and Continence,  and the evidence based management of neck and low back pain. Since joining our team some years ago she has led, and very successfully expanded,  our Womens Health Service.  She has completed a number of accredited post graduate courses in manual therapy and exercise therapy . Eimear is a Stott trained Pilates Instructor.  Combining this expertise with her keen interest in running and fitness training, (having completed the London Marathon in 2007 and continuing to be commited to her training schedule! ), Eimear can provide a first hand insight into the best management of  sporting injuries.

Sandra  is originally from County Clare and completed her undergraduate training at the University of Limerick. Her research performed there, investigating the neck muscle strength in rugby players, has been published in the National Institute of Health Science Research Bulletin.  She also presented this work at the IRFU Conference and the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists' Annual Conference .  She completed her Masters in Musculoskeletal/ Manipulative Physiotherapy in the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia.  On achieving the highest results among her academic class, she was awarded honorary membership of the Australian Physiotherapy Association . This Masters specialises in expert care of whiplash associated disorders, back pain and advanced rehabilitation techniques.

Sandra has a particular interest in Sports Physiotherapy and is currently physiotherapist for the high performance Irish Amateur Boxing Team. She has accumulated a wide variety of sports related experience working with Clontarf, Blackrock and Monkstown Rugby Clubs, the Irish Wheelchair Rugby Team and other teams from club to national levels including gaelic football, hurling, soccer and swimming. Sandra has been awarded her Level III Sports Physiotherapy Accreditation. She has been an invited lecturer, speaking in the area of sports injuries, at the University of Limerick. She is also a trained Pilates instructor.

Professional interests include sports injuries and rehabilitation, neck and back injuries, Clinical Pilates, ante-natal and post-natal care, biomechanics assessment, orthotic prescription and myofascial trigger point dry-needling. Sandra places a particular emphasis on a holistic approach to rehabilitation.


Mary Grant , MISCP, BSc Physio, MMT Physio ( Australia)

Mary is a graduate of UCD School Of Physiotherapy.  She has worked in many of the major Dublin hospitals, gaining expertise in areas such as Neurology, Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Respiratory care and Burns and Plastics.  Mary has extensive experience in the management of adult and paediatric rheumatological conditions, which she has developed while working in her senior post at the Rheumatological Rehab Unit in Harolds Cross, Dublin.  She has been involved there in directing undergraduating students and junior staff in this field.  She has also contributed to the development of CPD programmes in this area for members of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapy.

Mary completed her specialised musculoskeletal training through the Masters of Manual Therapy programme at the University of Western Australia, in Perth.  This specialisation has led to a keen interest in the evidence based management of spinal dysfunction, ie neck and back pain.  Mary combines her training as a Pilates instructor, with the skills developed during her masters, to provide patients with management programmes which include hands-on treatment and specific instruction in therapeutic exercise.


Una Hendroff, B.A.(Hons), H.Dip. Nut., PG.Dip.Diet., M.I.N.D.I.
Accredited Sports Dietitian with Coaching Ireland

Una graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a BA (Hons) in Natural Sciences and subsequently completed a PG Diploma in Nutrition at University College Cork and a PG Diploma in Dietetics at Glasgow Caledonian University. She has been working as a Dietitian for over 12 years in a variety of clinical areas in the UK and Ireland. For the past 9 years she has been a member of the metabolic dietetic team at the Children’s University Hospital, Dublin and is involved with research, resource development, patient and health professional education, dietary assessment and intervention in both adults and children. Una is registered with the Health Professionals Council UK and is a member of the Irish Nutrition & Dietetic Institute (MINDI) since qualification. She completed the INDI Sports Nutrition Upskills Course in 2008 and is a member of the Sports Nutrition Interest Group (SNIG) of the INDI. Una also recently completed accreditation as an ISAK level 1 Anthropometrist with the International Society for the Advancement of Kinathropometry. She is currently a presenter on the Lucozade Sport Education Programme run in conjunction with Coaching Ireland available to sporting clubs and coaches nationwide. Una is available for nutritional/dietetic consultations in the areas of healthy eating, weight management and sports nutrition.
